Giglio island is part of the National Park of the Tuscan Archipelago. The mediterranean flora and fauna, the colors and the scents of this land, are a natural detoxifier from the chaos and the cement of the city. There are three main villages on the island, among them there is Campese, located north-west. Well served, this village offers the biggest bay of Giglio, wet by transparent water.
The apartments for rent at Giglio Campese, proposed by our reals estate agency are all near the beach, furnished to make the guests feel at home. You can see them from our site, thanks to cards, that include a map, photos and details. Let’s see together, now, why Giglio island is one of the best destinations for a beach holiday
Giglio Campese, sunsets and good fish
The sunsets on the bay of Campese are famous throughout the island, along with the blue-flag seaside, the natural beauties of the territory and the excellent local food, based on fresh fish and the tasty wine “Ansonaco”. The beach is public but also equipped, but if you prefer the seaside in total tranquilly, in the same stretch of coast you will find heavenly coves and cliffs where the living space is guaranteed. Campese, furthermore, is located just a few minutes from other shores, among them there are the beaches of Arenella, Cannelle, Caldane and Allume cove. Dynamic people can’t get bored, if they stay at Giglio Campese. Among the unmissable places, we recommend:
- Excursion by sea on Giannutri island
- Tour of the island by boat, mountain bike, canoe or mask and fins
- Trekking on the Campese promontory, until Allume cove, to discover the territory and its splendid views
- Cocktail at sunset in one of the many bars on the beach
Apartments for rent at Giglio Cannelle, Giglio Porto and Giglio Castello
As islander people, we don’t believe that on Giglio island there is a better place than other where to experience a beach holiday. You will choose your small piece of heaven, where you probably want to return occasionally. Alternatively to Campese, we have some apartments also in other seaside villages of the island: Giglio Cannelle, Giglio Porto and Giglio Castello.
The first one offers a beautiful beach, composed by quartz grains; Giglio Porto, with its Saracen cove, is the favourite destination among those who love marine archeology, for those who dive to discover the ruins of the Roman fish markets, where once fish were raised; Giglio Castello is a suggestive medieval village, still intact.
